What is the moving contour icon for when a soundscape is playing?Updated 9 days ago

The moving contour icon serves as a breath pacing guide, helping you align your breathing with the soundscape for a more relaxing experience. It encourages a natural rhythm of inhaling and exhaling, enhancing your meditation or relaxation session.

As the icon enlarges, gently breathe in through your nose. When it recedes, breathe out slowly. This creates a calming rhythm, with approximately 4 seconds for inhalation and 6 seconds for exhalation, supporting a deeper sense of calm.

No Need to Focus Too Hard
While it’s helpful to follow the breathing pattern, there’s no need to overthink it. Sensate is designed to promote relaxation passively, so you can let the sensations guide you into a peaceful state without needing to focus intensely on your breath. For more on this approach, check out our article on using Sensate during meditation.

Remember, you can adjust the rhythm based on your comfort level. The key is to find a breathing pattern that helps you feel connected to a state of tranquility.
